Sam Obrist is a singer/songwriter based in Manhattan, NYC. Some themes in his body of work include feeling out of touch with society, his relationship to nature, intersections of his queer identity and commentary on current public attitude. Sam Obrist takes great pride in sharing his love of guitar playing and songwriting with students; his goal is to help students create their own unique voice on the guitar and to help them be as creative on their instruments. His students value his patience, warmness, and adaptiveness towards their varying musical directions.
