- Improvisation for Classical Pianists Workshop
“My goal is for students to revisit the classical repertoire, understanding composers’ historical context and style. The course will guide students in the process of approaching improvisation using the Classical repertoire as source material. I aspire to offer this genre as a source of inspiration that is useful, exciting and enriching outside the traditional context. Each lesson will provide ear training and transposition exercises, compositions analysis, progressions and voicing on the piano, and piano solo techniques. Students will acquire the necessary tools to create their own improvisations and eventually write original compositions that can freely re- invent a classical composition.”
