PAYMENTS, CANCELLATION POLICY AND OTHER RELATED TERMS
Carefully read these additional terms and conditions as they constitute a legal agreement between you and DalMaestro. By checking “I Agree to the Terms and Conditions” box or clicking the “Create an account” button, you agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions in this document but you are also agreeing to be bound by all of the terms provided in the following page http://www.dalmaestro.com/terms-of-use/.
1. BOOKING AND PAYMENTS
DalMaestro students agree to book single lessons and/or package lessons with the DalMaestro Client Support through the DalMaestro website.
All payments must be made directly to DalMaestro through DalMaestro’s website or by check; in no circumstances are payments to be given to Teachers. Client must purchase single lesson credits and/or package lesson credits at least 48 hours before attending a single lesson or the first lesson of a package. If payment is delayed, clients will be subject to late payment fees as explained below.
Client’s credit card information is handled by PayPal; DalMaestro does not store credit card data. Client must provide DalMaestro with at least 48 hours advance notice to cancel or make changes to the class. Clients who cancel the charge may not attend the scheduled lesson and must schedule another appointment should they wish to continue with lessons or classes.
2. LATE PAYMENT CHARGE
In case of late payment, clients will be subject to late payment fees as follows:
- A 5% late payment charge will apply if payment for the lesson or package is not received by the scheduled time of the lesson (or by the scheduled time of the first lesson of the month for package lessons).
- A 10% late payment charge will apply if payment is not received within 7 days of the due date.
- A 15% late payment charge will apply if payment is delayed by more than 15 days past the due date.
- An additional 20% charge will apply if the invoice remains unpaid for more than one year.
Please note that all lesson credits are non-refundable and expire six months after the date of purchase.
3. CANCELLATION
DalMaestro reserves the right to cancel a lesson for any reason. In the event of such a cancelation, DalMaestro will issue the client a lesson credit, subject to the following terms.
Clients who cannot make a scheduled lesson, must notify their DalMaestro Teacher directly at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson. Any payment will continue as scheduled and, in case of purchases of single-lesson sessions, the credit will be applied toward the Client’s next lesson, at such time as agreed upon between the Teacher and student.
For package lessons, the student may reschedule the make-up lesson for any time within the package timeframe (for example, if it is a 4-lesson monthly package, the make-up lesson must be scheduled within that month or it will be forfeited). A make-up sessions may not be schedule for a time/date during which a regular session is already scheduled. Cancelations with less than 24-hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of that lesson’s credit (whether the cancelled lesson was a single lesson or part of a lesson package). Lessons booked as part of a package, i.e. lessons booked weekly every month, cannot be cancelled but only rescheduled.
Make-up lessons for in-person lessons are delivered online for the time/date agreed with the teacher within the package timeframe.
Package lessons automatically renew to allow the student to preserve the regular schedule of the weekly lesson, otherwise announced. If the student interrupts the package booking the teacher will be considered free to book other lessons in that slot.
No make up lessons are offered for group lessons (two or more students).
4. NON-SOLICITATION
With our teachers having agreed not to conduct lessons for DalMeastro clients independently of DalMaestro, the client agrees neither directly nor indirectly to solicit their teacher for lessons and acknowledges that such action constitutes a breach of this agreement. Without limitation, Client agrees not to circumvent DalMaestro by engaging a Teacher with whom Client has had contact through DalMaestro; all such engagements must be conducted through DalMaestro.
5. LATENESS
In the event that the teacher is less than 10 minutes late from the start of the lesson, she/he has to guarantee a make-up of the missed time at the end of the lesson or during another lesson by 30 days.
In the event that the teacher is more than 10 minutes late for the start of the lesson, the student will be offered a full make-up session to be scheduled at a later date.
In the event that the student is late, no make-up will be offered.
6. SUPERVISION
A parent or legal guardian must be on site for the duration of any in-studio lesson for a student under the age of 18. The teacher will not begin a lesson if there is no parent or guardian in the studio, and will stop the lesson if the parent or guardian leaves. In such cases, no refund or credit will be granted. Teachers will not stay on the premises beyond the scheduled class time.
7. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Clients participating in online lessons are responsible for maintaining their system to meet or exceed our technical requirements.
