DalMaestro is proud to introduce its signature music education program for early childhood, Fortissimo.
Fortissimo aims to develop basic developmentally appropriate music and listening skills through engaging and carefully researched activities. Through creative expression in song, rhythmic movement, and active listening, children develop their tonal and rhythmic competence and start building their musicality.
Scientific researches demonstrate that the benefits of music education in early childhood are invaluable: it foster creativity and confidence, develop motor skills and coordination,
facilitate socialization and teamwork, improve focus and attention, “Positively affects the quality of all children’s lives” (NAFME), just to name a few.
For a long time we felt guilty for not offering a targeted music education course for the youngest. They are our future performers, audience, and the world of the future! So we thought it was important to develop a quality music program to lay a foundation upon which their future music learning is built.
Currently Fortissimo is taught at Buckle My Shoe Nursery School in Manhattan Tribeca and, starting from April 21st at Two By Two Daycare in Brooklyn Williamsburg. By the next month it will
be featured among the cultural activities of New York Italians at the Scalabrini Center (25 Carmine St, New York, NY) in Manhattan Downtown. Our goal is to have as many children as possible exposed to our quality music education program for early childhood. So, if you know any school or cultural organization that may be interested please contact us!
