Italian-born NY-based guitarist and musicologist Isabella Abbonizio performs internationally as soloist and in chamber ensembles. Isabella holds a Ph.D. in musicology (University of Rome), an M.A. in musicology (University of Bologna) and an M.A. in guitar performance (Conservatory of Bologna). A published researcher, she was a visiting scholar at New York University from 2012-2015. Isabella is also a professional music and guitar teacher with more than ten years of teaching experience in public and private schools, in Italy and in the United States.
